'06 Boss Mustang

I'm taking the normal 06 Mustang by Revell and giving it the styling of a Boss 429 Mustang.

I have filled the rear quarter windows, leveled off the front bumper, and designed and created the hood scoop. I still have to refine the sanding so the putty blends into the body.

I'm thinking of using my TE-37's instead of the "wonderful" Revell rims.

Re: '06 Boss Mustang

Thanks for the comments. I won't do the scoops because my skill isn't high enough for that level of detail. I also think it looks cleaner without them on the classic Boss'. Still need to either fabricate the spoiler on the front bumper or go buy the Revell Boss Mustang kit and steal it from that.

C-pillar is the rear quarter windows. The side scoops would be below that on the body. I believe they are used to cool the rear brakes.

Re: '06 Boss Mustang

yeah, the 69's didn't come stock with c-pillar scoops, but isn't/wasn't uncommon to see them added on like the 69 mach 1 has. the 1970's were clear of all scoops aside from the hood scoop.

as it is, it will look very good like you have it so far. i personally think the car looks cleaner in the 70's version, but the 69s look more muscular.

Re: '06 Boss Mustang

Thanks for the comments. This adventure with putty is going much better than the WRX I made.

I'm still trying to decide on color. I was thinking black, but gunmetal also would look good. Then there is light blue or dark red. Too many options.
