odd noise with ac or defroster on...
I have a 2000 SE with 37000 miles. I notice sometimes when drivng abut 35 - 40 mph, 1500 rpm or so, that an odd runblind noise happens under light accelleration. The rumbling noise only happens when the ac or front defroster is on. If I turn the ac off it's super quiet.
Anyone experience this on a 2000? Mike |

Head back to the dealer, sounds like your compressor bearings are toast. Hopefully you'll get it covered under warranty. Otherwise it might cost you $$$$$

NJMAXSELTD,
i had the dealer check it out, a couple months ago. unfortunately, the problem wasn't confirmed. it has been warm lately. the issue is brought out cold, especially during the first 5 minutes of driving... just wondering, if it is a situation where the compressor bearings are shot, are they replaceable, or is it time for a new conpressor? thanks. mike |
