1990 automatic tranny question.
For all you peeps out there who have the 3.1l motor with an automatic transmission. For normal, everyday driving, where does your transmission shift?? Mine shifts at 2000-2200 rpm's. I am a conservative driver who is trying hard to make sure this car stays maintenence free for the next 2 years until I graduate college. Am I being too conservative?? I want to accelerate faster, but that increases the rpm's at which the car shifts, and therefore could wear the poor thing out.
So how hard do you push your car, and when do you let it shift?? thanks
