1990 probe automatic tranny problems
wont shift out of second gear. top speed around 40 mph. is it possible to adjust bands in tranny?

Hope you don't have same problem I have( see my post OD light/ tranny problem?). I have read several posts on the board similar to my problem and they point to sensors being the issue. (VSS and PSS) You could take to dealer and have them pull codes($$$) so you know what the probe thinks is wrong.
You can bet the first words out of their mouth will be replace tranny  Good Luck rectalprobe
