Crazy ebay again..!!

Well, ebay does it again.. Found a pretty basic Revell F1 kit, listed for 99p, thought nah that's worth around a fiver, not a great kit, but it'll add to the F1 collection.

Was only a few hours away from ending when they ended it early and re-listed for £14.99 or BIN £17.99..

Yeah right.. Some people just think they can over charge with postage at £3.50 it really makes you wonder..

Tell it's coming up to christmas.. Feel sorry for the poor sod that over pays for that, as someone will.. Some mum for little Jamie for the pressie at christmas..!!

Ah yeah, the rare kits no problem that are worth what someone will pay.

But a Revell Toyota F1 car. Model shop down the road has it for £9.99 or £12.99 with the crappy paint pots snd cheap brush.

Me thinks this seller is trying to cash in on the old Christmas present buying.. Still, can't blame them for trying.. But man, £18 for a revell F1 kit.. What a rip..

Not the first time though, seen a Revell C5R for £18.99 on ebay.. Shaking my head.

Maybe Im just a tight arse..!!

I've seen a few Revell F1 kits on special offer £9.99 in the local hobby store or even hobby craft. Mostly they are £13.99 without postage, so £14.99 + £3.50 is top asking price, but £17.99 + £3.50 postage is too much..

But we've all seen ebay members trying to sell models for a little too much.

I've had some cracking deals though, so not all items are over priced.. Just me on another moan again..!! He he..

The practice of listing with no reserve and then ending the auction because you dont get what you want is pretty sad. I would just avoid that seller in the future.

Re: Crazy ebay again..!!

Was there any bids on it before it got re-listed? As far as I know once it has a bid then it's got to run until the end of the auction, unless they say that it's advertised elsewhere, either way it's a bit of a scam, I wont be buying off him, thats for sure.

The seller removed the listing in just enough time before he couldn't as I was the only bidder at 99p. TBH I've seen it go for £2.50 only a few days ago.. It's not an expensive kit, and it isn't worth anymore then £10 from a shop.

He shouldn't have put it up for 99p. He's done the same for all his listings, cancelled and relisted at a higher price.. Very greedy seller, and I'm a tight buyer..

I've been told by someone who uses ebay a lot today this does happen alot at this time of year, as the start the listing off, and if it doesn't do too well, stop and relist as a higher price, hoping the ones who bid will bid again.... Hoping you REALLY want it for you kids or something at Christmas.. Sad little sellers.. Feel sorry for whoever gets ripped off.

But it was a little sad. That's ebay for you.
