I need help on fixing up my 91 eclipse

i just bought a 91 eclipse and i don't know what to do to make it go faster right now it is a plain 4 cycl. no turbo or anything i want to modify it real bad so i need some help on doing it any infromation will be good i want to race it because i also race a 97 ss chevy which runs low tens. i also want to know if there are any body kit for the car thanks for the help.

Your non-turbo will never run 10s and still remain street legal. If I were you, I would concentrate on making a car with semi-decent power that could take turns better than a Porsche. The 1G NTs are relatively light. I would do an intake (injen) and exhaust (greddy) along with a ported throttle body and headers. Maybe you could get a shot of funny gas for whenever the extra power was needed. The best coilovers that you can get for our cars are APEXi World Sports or Teins. Then I would get suspension techniques sway bars. The get some 7.5 or 8 inch wide wheels and some sticky rubber and dare people to follow you onto a tight mountain road.

i have a 91 eclipse 1.8 SOHC. i put a paccesetter catback exhaust on it, pacesetter header, k&n filter, bored out .030 over ported and poslished head, short shifter, and few other small mods. i can beat fixed up 2.0 and stock turbo eclipses.

how is that pacesetter exhaust? did you see a difference in power? and how does it sound? I have a 1992 eclipse 1.8L SOHC and I have been looking for headers forever. where did you get ur headers and are they meant for a 1.8?
