Paint sucks, I've got a new idea for my car...

Since the shitty Maaco job on my car is dying more and more each day and exposing metallic blue I think I am just going to re-paint it myself. I'm just going to spray it all with black primer since I like the stealth look of it, and plus everytime a scratch appears, just spray over it, Muscle Car style. I think I am also going to take out the grill and put in a screen, paint it all red with white triangles like teeth. I'm going to give my car the WWII Warplane/Submarine Job. It's going to look super ghetto and sweet. Then I can get a B16 and kick all ass.

If you do the bomber style mouth with teeth, you'll need an airbrushed pin-up girl on the side too!

That could be quite awsome.

Everyone would see the car and instannly think its an old bomb of a car. Then you could burn them off from the lights!!

Stuff the all black approach... strip the paint off and take it back to bare metal. Clearcoat it and go for the all-metal look

Bah!

Forget the clear coat!

Jsut get about 4L of really really strong paint stripper and water blaster.

Paint the car with the stripper, leave it for an hour or two, and blast all the paint off.

Dry the car really well then just poor used oil all over it to stop it going rusty!

You might need to reoil it evey couple of weeks, but think of the nice shine! and NO one will ever sit on your car in the parking space ever agian.

Red face

My car has been flat black for months now. all it does is make more ricers want to race you.
I hate ricers more then half the time I just wave at them and let them do their little burnout and watch their untuned cars dump smoke when they accelerate.
some suggestions for you (colors)
Brown-you would be suprized
Green-gives you a Side squad look(you might have read about them in superstreet two years ago.
Red-I haven't seen a flat red car yet
It took me 2 hours and 8 cans
I'll post pics later today when I get home

I'm so going to do this, I'm not high. I saw pictures of a Sedan that was flat black and it looked awesome. Plus Black Primer matches real well with my CF Hood. And I'm only going to paint the mouth on the grill so if I don't like it it's a lot easier to repaint that the whole bumper. But when I get a new engine I can stick emblems on the door of the cars I've beaten!

No! Don't use primer it isn't waterproof. you will rust.
Instead use a flat enamel.
wet sand(400-600grit) the whole car to smooth out that macco paint job, rub the car down with alcohol, and rinse off with water. Dry off and Spry away.
