Having not been able to find the part for my Revell Diablo VT I have decided to do a Diablo GTR conversion. I am working on the bodyshell at the moment but I have one big problem with the engine - Revell has used really tacky plating. Does anyone have a gentle method of removing chrome plating as the parts are finely detailed and I don't want to ruin it. I have model strip and Mr Miscle oven cleaner but I would prefer some advice before taking the plung. Thanks Guys
PS: I'm getting a digital camera in the next few days so I will post progress pics. |

Regular laundry bleach will also remove the plating !
ALWAYS USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT WHEN USING ANY OF THESE SOLVENTS :bandit: Mike
