Went to the Drag Strip

what's up guys - went to the track, and received a 14.919 as my best run. i was satisfied with that- seeing as how my first run was a 15.299! i did this on some h-rated cooper copra 185's those things suck! anyways....i got a 15.2 and a 23 second quarter mile as well (ground into 2nd....so i just shifted into 5th). unfortunately my distributor decided to take a shit on the way home. the bearing went bad, and was causing a lot of friction....some how causing it to melt the rotor. i was shooting flames out my exhaust ghetto fast & furious style (this is what the guy behind me said). so i went through three rotors trying to get home from wisconsin. (it took 2 days to get home....cuz i had to leave the car on 94 by the IL/WI border, then it got towed, and we fixed it the next day, it melted another rotor, and we put another one on and limped home). i've got it at home now, and went out to APG in woodale (i'm sure mellowboy's been there) and got a distributor for $200. it's running now, but my ignition timing is off, and i'm running really rich (i swear to god you could ignite my exhaust!) i'll get a timing light and adjust the distributor accordingly......anyways to all of you that guessed my quarter mile time.....you were right! later

Yeh i've been to apg numerous of times and i don't buy anything from them. They are over priced on most things. I only go there with my boys. Well hey i was at Naperville on 75 th st at a Taco Bell place with all the "racers" there. I seen this turbo si with some big ass decal on the side. My boy is gonna race him in 2 weeks. I don't know whats my boys set up is and he will not tell me!!! Oh well maybe u know this guy?

i've only been up to naperville once with my car....i haven't seen that guy in the turbo si that you're talkin about. there is an electron blue si that is owned by a girl that works at honda, that is supposedly turbo...it says greddy on the side. that's the closest thing that i know. yeh, 14.9 was with perfect launch, shifting....everything! i was very happy

Nice time man. Sucks about the distributor though. I had one take a shit on me too. At least it was in my driveway...
