Jet and Superchips merely remove the rev limiters and are not true ECU upgrades.
Stillen makes an ECU upgrade but on their site it lists the years only as 90-92. Hmmm...price is $695...but if it were to work...I think it behaves much as the JWT does...but at a higher price. JWT (the ECU I have) is your best bet. Not sure on the price...but for my 240SX it was $595. No down on the car...only the 10 mins it took to install and then I sent of my stock ECU. If you dont send it off...JWT will bill you a core charge of $700. So just send it off. You can always find one later. The JWT ECU removes the speed limiter, raises the rev limiter (it did so on my 240SX), advances the timing, and leans out the super conservative rich rich rich setting done by Nissan to get some HP. Overall a really good NA mod that is a must. If you also ever go NOS or turbo...JWT can reprogram it for $100. Not bad...and it beats buying another ECU. Dinan...that is a BMW tuner and only a BMW tuner...so they dont make parts for Nissan's. |

I know dinan is a BMW chip
but they made one for the 300zx a couple of years back that was suppost to be better that JWT by far,
they also sstarted making them for hondas lately |

Well best of luck trying to find one... I was just at the Dinan site (www.dinanbmw.com) and found nothing about it in their search engine or in their product lineup.
It's probably alot more expensive than the JWT...but I cannot see how it could be far better. Let me know when you get some concrete evidence of its existence and the HP it produces...the price would be nice to know as well. Good luck... |

The Stillen and JWT ecu's are the same one. The JWT chip is the best bar none. If you are going to purchase it do it through JWT it's cheaper.

Did some research...Dinan did make an ECU upgrade...but JWT actually consulted w/Nissan and checked it w/them...I am almost positive that Dinan didnt go the extra mile. Plus...the Dinan one must be more expensive than the JWT one.

I have a Dinan ECU in my '91 2+2. I think it works great. It was amazing how different the car ran when I put it in. That and the intake made the most difference. I got it for $160 on eBay.

The chip I use is the GMS from Chip Ginn. Better than any you asked about and much cheaper. Call Chip and tell them Albert in Mexico sent you.
