Gas saving. Starting today Sept 22 - its likely to become very very very important once again to all of us. Rita is just 36 hours away and the potential to see gasoline price go up a dollar a gallon in the next 3 to 7 days is very possible. We don't need more drude oil - we need more refined product. Rita is aimed right at the refineries. Saving gas will save us money. Below are a few of the links from the forum - specifically about saving gas.

Im running my 2nd tank of the mixture of 25 gal gas and 2.5 oz of acetone today.

The best thing I have found that saves me alot of gas is my bike : . I know alot of you guys might be a little older but all I know is that if im not going on the highway, or just going to meet some friends...the BMX is my ride of choice. Plus it gets my ass back in shape too...

Mixing the acetone in the gasoline is supposed to stir up the gasoline molecules lowering the surface tension which results in a more complete vaporization of the fuel.

Basically it lowers the combustion temerature so the gas burns more completely. BUT it only works in small quantities such as one part per 5000 to one part to 3000 or 1 ounce per 10 gallons, no more than 3 ounces per 10 gallons.

I tried the Tornado in my 454 TBI on a trip from Little Rock to SLC, no worky. Fuel milage actually went down about 2%. They refunded my money as promised.
