What do ya recommend?

I need a set of 6.5" speakers for my doors. What do you recommend as far as sound quality for under $50?

In that price range you will be buying something on sale. Look around and LISTEN to them, you're the one that will have to hear them everyday. Unlike other components, speakers have a wide range in the way they sound.

Front speakers are the most important speakers in your car, I wouldn't reccomend spending less that $100, and I would definately get a Component set and not just 2 fronts.

I realize I'm not gonna get anything good compared to component sets. I just need it to last me the summer and enough time for someone to test drive it and give me the money. I want to spend as little as possible so I can put that much more away for a new car.

i think infinity's are the way to go if you're on a budget. if it's still too much for you, some pioneers will do until you get more $$$

I broke down and bought some Infinity's. I went Circuit Shitty and was listening to all the different ones and fell in love with the Infinity sound. They were also on sale so I went for it. I put one in today. I had to cut the old bracket to make the new ones fit and it was a mess. I just love Honda's compatiblity

whats better the kappas or the references?

man the day I got my speakers I put them in was just bout done...
I got the left side completely done was finishin up the right all I had to do was tighten the screws from speaker to the door, pop the grill back in and ride...
but as I was finishin up the last screws it slipped went and poked thru my brand new speakers which i hadn't even listened to yet....the screwdriver went completely thru the speaker. I was so pissed I started throwin everything in sight...

anyways I thought the speaker was ruined but I finished up the job, and realized you can't even tell, I tested it out on my friends and nobody notices... what do u think of that? theres nothing to really fix is there?

peace
