Smile What do you think about 200k on a 93 Honda Accord?

I am looking to buy a car to commute to and from school. I searched through craigslist and founded this 93 Honda Accord with 200k miles.

How long do you think I am to drive it before it gives me serious car engine problems?
Is 200k too much to buy for $1500?

On paper, it's worth $500!
However if it passes California Emissions, air cond works, and in good cond for $800

Not sure about California prices, the public can use KBB, and NADA for a good
resource.

If it was a Honda delso civic in good cond, I would give $1500.

Theres alot of used Autos, but after 10-years old, you are going to have trouble with gaskets, plastic, rubber, and seals.

The 1st time you pay for any parts + service its going tobe another $500.

Seems a little high but if it's up to date on maintenance and you plan on staying with the maintenance(not just oil changes) you can get 500,000 miles on a car like that.

honda's are very reliable cars, i would probably negotiate with the guy and try to get it down as much as you can, but i have a friend who has an 89 accord who has 380,000 miles on it.
