I would recommend either a) driving downhill or b) getting my car to tow yours!
Seriously though, driving over 100mph is dangerous! If you don't believe me, next time you're pissed b/c your car is "creeping like a mother" after 100mph, try slamming on the brakes as hard as you can. I guarantee you will have no control.

Obviously you didn't read a word of my last post. If for some crazy reason, someone pulled out in front of you, or something God forbid, got into your path, you would have NO REACTION TIME whatsoever. My friend had a 01 Accord and was going 130mph, lost control of the car, and flipped it 3 times. He had his seatbelt on, his airbag went off, and his head still hit the windshield, cracking it. . Don't put anyone else's life endanger. I hope that if you are going to pursue traveling that fast, at least don't do it around others and make sure you are on a secluded road, there are no curves, and there is no traffic. Buckle up and HAVE FUN!:finger:

First off, auto or manual, the governer kicks in at the SAME spped reguardless of your tranny set up. My auto DX coupe can do the same 120mph that your 5-speed can do. That's what our governers are set at. Once at 90 and above, laws of drag coefficients and the engine pulling against that gets increased for every tick faster your car goes. Your 90-100 time will be almost what your 0-60 is because of that. The faster you go, the harder it is, and longer it takes you.

120 should be the limit.....I've gotten mine faster (in a closed location) But it all depends on your surroundings and what your lugging around.

Well, I have a 2001 manual dx coupe, and at 3407 I hit 122, stock, with very little drag. It helps to have a good start, was it in a race, or just regular driving? It helps in a race, for my car, 30mph shift to 2nd, 50-55 3rd, 65-70 4th, and up to 5th around 80-85, pushing it. It has something to do with your rpm lvl too, your car is pushed harder in later gears, so naturally for picking up more speed, even though it does drag a little, I double clutching the 5th if i wanna pick up more speed, asuming I'm not going to fast for the individual gear speed limiter, or just letting of the gas and punching it again.

But with this, I must at minimum reinforced the saftey precausions, drive safely if other poeple could be hurt. The only person you can get away with hurting is generally yourself, it's best to leave others out of it if possible.

Not trying to knock you man -- but you call that "racing" ? I can hit 40mph with the CX before I shift up into more power, and hit 65 before going into 3rd and can manage to hit 80-85 before going into 4th... and 5th, well forget it car tops out at 95mph

In most cases, the 2001 EX's can get up to well over 200 mph
