There are a lot of good computer programs that can figure this out. I've only read about them I'm afraid. I'm not really at that level...yet! Check out the Car Craft website. They've done several articles on the subject. You might want to check it out! Good Luck!

The problem is that just changing the rear end ratio is not going to help all that much. I would suggest upgrading some of the engine components (i.e. Carb, exhaust, cam) before changing the rear. I would think with a stock 350 engine all the 411 is gonna do is run the engine out of power sooner. just my opinion

Re: how fast will i go

I had a 67 Nova with 4.10's and a Muncie, with 28 inch slicks. It clocked mid-12's with the engine revving around 6200 rpm at the finish line. If your 350/350 combo is stock or anything close to it, the 4.10's may be a little too much. 3.55's or 3.73's would be a better choice...and if your engine and trans are in good running condition, you should be in the 15's once you get the tires to "stick". I also had a 68 ElCamino with a 350/Saginaw 4-speed/3.08 non-posi rearend that ran low 15's...after lots of tire spin off the line. Since ElCaminos have a long wheelbase and the back-end is light, "spinning" the tires is a common thing, posi or not. Leave the "4" gears to the racers, you'd be better off in the mid "3's". Good Luck.
