My power lock on the left rear side does not lock anymore. If I locked the doors I would hear the motor running but nothing would happen. I took apart the door panel and just disconnected the unit. Since everything in Hondas are always plastic and clips, I think something came loose at the motor. Everything from the front of the door to as far back as I can see is in place. However, the space in back of the door is pretty narrow and dark so I can't stick my hand in or see if some clip came loose. Any recommendations or procedures for me to get a better look at things. I can't take it to the dealer because fixing the problem will cost 750.00 Quetzales or around $100.00. I want to try to do it myself. I'm getting tired of not having that door locked....I've gone into malls or left the car out on the street with that particular door unlocked. Thank God nothing has happened so far.

Similar thing happened to my rear door lock. I just locked it manulaay nad unplugged the wire that leads to the solinoid. from then on it was a manual lock. I was trying to replace the solinoid but you have to take off the three screws that you can see on the end of the door. one is locked and i couldn't get it off. So i bit the bullet and let the shop do it. it was about $100. my cousin knows someone else who had the same problem. sounds like a design flaw to me.
