Question My swap...

Sup guys... i called my friend that ownz a shop here in town... told him i needed a price for my motor i want... b16a like everyone... the quote he gave me was $3400 for a 30000 mile JDM b16a chipped ECU and install... I am wondering if it is worth it or should i search for a better price... now mind you this guy is my friend and i still wanna support him. So what you guys think?

i try to support all my local dealers. Unless you are getting a killer deal on engine from someone else, it doesnt pay no to get it form him
think of it this way
b16 swap 2300
shipping 300
install about 600
youre up to 3200 already, so if you pay your buddy extra 200, im sure that he will give you good deals next time youre there for something. Also he is probably going to take better care of you than any other shop down the road.
Just my 2 cents

Just think about it. With a swap you have a big chance that you will have to take your car back for something or onother. So in my oppinion its worth it to have him do it unless you want to take it to somebody you dont know. So it's up to you. I just did a swap on my car and I had to trouble shoot a couple things after the swap. So unless you know what you are doing and don't have any codes showing up after the swap then do what you feel more comfortable with. I hope this makes sense. Good luck. stefan525
