New springs and warranty

I'm thinking about gettin' springs real soon - but, i'm a little concerned that lowering the car will void my warranty? should i sweat that?

thanks

Only if damage is incurred by the lowering. So if you damage let's say, the oil pan, scrape your chassis, exhaust, etc, you're S.O.L.

To be honest, unless the mod is minor, all mods will void a warranty. Now some dealers have exceptions, so you have to contact them to get the definite answer. Some dealers are flexible and might not void it. But 99% of them will void.

it also depends on what warranty you're talking about. If you lower you car ...this does not void the warranty on your engine since it has nothing to do with it. Just remember that it is the individual parts in your car that is warrantied ..not the whole thing in one shot.

right, so once you get your springs, your shocks are no longer under warranty. I think that's how it goes.

If you are meaning also,..... "will the insurance company cover you if you have a crash if you lower your car"

It would pay to tell them so they know of any mods you have done.
I know here in NZ that you have to tell them if you change your steering wheel !!!....new mags etc etc.

I'd check with the dealer about the warranty to be on the safe side to.
