My Door Won't Lock...?
I have a 97 accord and when i hit the power lock switch, the passenger side will lock, but my side will just make a sound for about a second. The weird thing is, when I lock the door from the outside, it will work. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks for any help.

There is are lock detection wires that comes out of drivers latch/actuator. It has to have ground on the black/red to stay unlocked and ground on the blue/ white to stay locked. Generally locking the doors through the pass. door key cylinder will make the drivers lock or unlock properly.
Replacing the latch/actuator is generally the only means of solving the problem.

that is normal. my 1996 civic does the same thing. it is a security measure implemented to keep you from locking your keys in the car while the door is still open, the only way to lock your driver's side is to either have the door closed or to pull up the door handle while it is open.
