67' Ferrari 330 P4 LM contest entry

well i started this 3 weeks ago having forgotten all about the contest but why not enter. there are many inaccuracies as there seems to be a general detail of all the 330 P3/P4's made. I am building the 21 car but lots of things are wrong. mainly the mirrors so im building this as a "replica". please be forgiving as i have no time to make corrections

Here are some interior shots....

Enjoy... ill post some body pictures tommorrow!

Well, with only 3 of the 330P4's being actual 330P4's, and the rest being 330P3's updated to P4 specs, and of course constant fiddling by the factory, there's really no way to kit the 330P4 accurately.

Ah well, just have to work with what's available. And it could be much worse. Have you seen the Heller/Union P4 kit?

One cool car, I will be glad to see it done. What is that red thing (some special colour or flocking (did I spell right?) or something else)?

i assume you mean the red used on the seats and such? Its SMS Spray Flocking. Its great stuff! I use it all the time on older cars. it comes in black and red and you can paint over it! i dont think it replaces carpet flocking but its great for adding texture to seat and such.

comin' along really nice!
That's a lot of painting Methinks I've got to rethink my "2 mist/one wet" strategy!!
What would you fix on the mirrors?

Finally a 330 for the contest. I wish all the best to finish it in time. The interior looks very sharp!

So fight for the finish line!

the only reason i got away with so much paint is because ive rescribed all the panel lines before the red went on. also the mirrors provided with kit are attached as if the mirrors are molded to the body. but the real mirrors are much smaller and bolt to the fenders. though these cars were all built a little different i still havent seen one with this style mirror.
