Cool Progress: Peugeot 206 WRC RAC Rallye 2002 Valentino Rossi

Hi,

right after my holiday, the warm weather here in Germany and due to the triathlon training for some summer competitions I don´t want to build full detailled models.
So I continued an already started kit, a Peugeot 206, that Valentino Rossi drove in the 2002 RAC Rallye.
Decals are from Studio 27, my base kit is the 2000 version.
As in another thread mentioned, there are no 7-star Enkei wheels available. For that reason I will take the kit wheels, as I prefer low down cars and probably Mr. Rossi made some tests with wheels like that (I hope he did).

What was done up to now:

Left side is airbrushed yellow,

covered,

right side became blue,

and I made a mask for the Michelin-emblem, that the different base coats won´t shine through the decal .

All colours are Tamiya, at the moment I put the decals on.

Excellent so far, I'll be watching this after my rather poor attempt a long time ago. Great idea masking off for "Bibendum" - this was something I wish I'd done as the masking line on mine is really obvious and spoils the entire model...

Fantastic to see so many Peugeots being built here at the moment. You're doing an excelent job on this one. Did you make the white mask form decal or paint?

Hi,

I made a cpoy of the decals, put self-adhesive foil over it, cut it out and airbrushed the white.

Great finish on the bodyshell Micha. Is that polish residue left in the panel lines?
Interior is coming along well too.

Hi Phil,

yes, the white ist leftover of the polish compound. It will be cleaned.

BTW, I found some 7 spoke wheels, that will look better the the wheels of the tarmac version :-))
