Question Pennsylvania Auto Regulations

I need help!!!!!!! I need to find a website, or knowledgeable person who can tell me what regulations are for car lighting (as in headlights, parking lights, turnsignals). My specific question is: My headlights and parking lights are one compartment in the front. The parking lights right now are that icky traditional yellowy-white halogen color. I want to change them. Now here's the catch: My turnsignals are NOT my parking lights. They are entirely unrelated, so turnsignal/pkglight combination regulations probably don't apply. I want to put in purple bulbs, but I really don't want a ticket just because I got sh!tty information. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a picture that might be able to better show you what I mean:

I want to replace that icky yellowy-white parking light with a purple bulb, pretty much for cosmetics, but it will blend far more nicely with my white headlights...

I talked with a person at the Inspection Safety Unit of PennDot and they said for parking lights it has to be 2 white or 2 yellow. No other colors are legal for those lights.
If you wanna call and ask them the # is 1-717-787-2895

Hey, thanks a lot! I might just chance it anyway... I can't find any "hyperwhite" bulbs that size (no, not even at PepBoys!!!) but I'm probably just going to keep looking.

im sure most states are much like our NY laws, trust me in the fact that you can only have white/orange/yellow reflectors/bulbs in the front of the car.

Hmmm... judging by your awesome number of tickets (as provided by your sig) maybe I ought to take someone ELSE's advice... :right: Aw, I'm just playing.

I've still got a few places to check before I go for the purple.
