behind the speedo/tacho etc. You have to lower the steering wheel as much as possible, to get the front of the dash off. Then have a look behind the speedo et al, and you'll the horrid little silver ding-dong box.

Hope that helps a bit. If not, get someone to give you a hand. Whereabouts in Auckers are you?

After a whole day of searching my car for this little aluminium box under the drivers side dash, I stumbled accross this little black box which was the noise maker. It was right in front of me, anyway the lil bast#@$d black box is gone! Finially.

Cheers for the help moondog:smoker:

crusing home last night on the motorway, I heard this faint ding dong ding dong.

Stupid ass me took out the beeper for the lights, the beeper for if the key is out and the head lights are on the car will beep to remind you.

Does anyone have a picture of where abouts this little noise maker box is.

ding dong

remove the instruments from the dash board, screwed into the back of the housing for the instruments should be your annoying little dinger.

de-solder it and measure its resistance with a multimeter.

solder in place a resistor of the same value as the dinger, so that any over speed warnings do not disrupt the computer

re-assemble your dash, and hey presto, go for a drive (on a race track )

behind the dash, not underneath it. Prolly sensible to wire a resistor in its place, but I never did with my R32 GTS, and never seemed to have a problem (I think)
