Time to build and some other Q's

I was wondering.. How long does it take for you guys to finish a model?

Now the other questions :

1. How can i attach a picture from my hd to a post.. tried it to many times yesterday, but it only failed..

2. What is a Veilside model (besides very goodlooking...)

3. How do you start with a kit.. Just ripping the plastic off or first do some ritual (im to scared to wreck my new honda s2000 .. so it's still in plastic..)

The pic has to be a .jpg or .gif file, and has to be less than ~100K. You should be able to use the "Attach file" functoin on the reply screen. If not, you can upload pics (.jpg only) at http://www.automotiveforums.com/upload, then copy the link it gives you and paste it here using [img] tags. More about [img] tags here.

2. What is a Veilside model (besides very goodlooking...)

Veilside is an automotive tuner. Some model companies (Fujimi comes to mind first) release special versions of their kits with added body kit parts to replicate certain manufacturers' body kits.

Well, I'll bet we all have some kind of ritual, but that's not important...

Always use side-cutters to cut parts off their trees. If you twist or rip them, you may deform them or take off too much plastic. You may want to leave a small bit of the tree attached so you'll have something to hold them by while painting.

Then go step-by-step in Guiddy's thread "Painting model car bodies! Full instructions! (Yes, you have to use primer!)"

When I open a kit I cut the plastic on the bottom all the way around so the plastic will stay on the box top.:bandit:

Now another question:

I have a Airbrush startersset from Revell (no. 39200), can i put paintjars from Tamiya or another company on the airbrush? Or do I have to put the paint from one jar to another fitting one..?

And as soon as I install the removable hd thingy and borrow my dads Digicam, I can post pics of my model in the plastic. Eventually when it is out of the plastic and partially build

No, I don't think any of the jars match up exactly. I move Tamiya paint into the Testors jars with straws (...with my finger on the other end, not my mouth. DO NOT put your mouth on a straw that's in a paint jar! )
