going to add N2O and some other mods

I'm about to add headers, Fuel pressure regulator, N2O (haven't picked kit between zex and NX), and some ecu tuneing. I already have intake and exhaust. I was wondering how much power will i get to the wheels with a 75shot?? will i break 200? and i need to retard the timeing to run a 75 shot right?

A 75 shot of NX will give you 73-77 hp at the wheels. A 75 shot of zex will give you aroung 50ish hp at the wheels, zex is just hype IMO. And yes you will need to retard the timming atleast 1 degree or 2 degrees for extra safety b/c 1 degree of timming change will not hurt your performance that bad especially if you are spraying , so I say 2 degrees to be extra safe.

ok you conviced me to go with the NX kit but i plan to only use N2O when im at the track or serious raceing. So will only 1 degree be safe enough or should i just step it down a notch with the spray. or how much diff will 2 degrees be i can handle loseing just a couple hp but not alot

2 degrees of timming retard won't lose more than 3-5 hp at the most and you will be making upi for it with the nitrous anyway. Its better to be safe than sorry and things can go bad quickly with nitrous so educate yourself as much as you can!!

If one would like to use the car for more things than raceing and still would like to use nitrous, wouldn't a tuneable electronic ignition system to prefere?

I'm running nitrous on a 95 DX engine (D15) and I'm in the 14's. I would suggest getting colder spark plugs and an adjustable fuel pressure gage to boost some more fuel into the engine just to make sure that you don't flood the cylinders with just N20 and not enough fuel to go along with it. Also, retard the timing for anything over a 50 shot.

I am running a NOS straight shot into the intake manifold so as for the different Nitrous kits that's out there, I would say either go with NOS or NX. Zex has a piggy back computer that goes along with your fuel and air mixture and other elements that controls how much N20 goes into your engine. If your engine is up to par you may put in a 75 shot pill and get close to 75 ponies. But if you are running too rich or lean, Zex may sabatoge your performance for the safety of your engine. I won't say that's exactly a bad thing but if you want a run a 75 shot, run a damn 75 shot! (and blow that mutha up)

I'm using the Venom system on my H22 and it seems to manage the fuel very well according to my a/f and egt gauges. I put down 242hp and 208 ft/lbs on a mustang dyno with a cai and catback, stock everything else no tuning.

Are you using the computerized Venom Nitrous kit? I think it starts with ECN and some numbers. I heard that's a pretty good kit except it's expensive.

Yup it's the good one VCN-2000 ($1200)
I actually have done about 6 wet systems and 10+ dry But the reasons I bought are because of where I live, the temp goes up and down here quite a bit and that changes fuel needs. it's also infinitly tuneable. http://www.venom-performance.com/nf/html/vcn-2000.htm
This way I know that even if my wife is running down some mustangs I won't have to worry about it. Fail safe system not like ZEX!
I've done 2 of the vcn-1000 ($700) and they are safe and manage fuel well. BUT whatever you do be carefull with a dry system especially when your revving high (watch your gauges) because the ecu is set-up to provide fuel for stock HP plus honda's cut fuel at redline to rev limit and your nos will keep flowing.
nos - fuel = BOOM!
In case you couldn't tell I dig the Venom and if you want to check out the software I can e-mail it to you, just pm me.
