Raced a Civic Si, bad stuff.

Today some friends and I were headed to go shooting at a local shooting range. On the way there we met up with some other friends. One was driving his Civic Si; which he is trying to sell. I have raced him before and won easily, but all he has done to it is lower it two inches and a cold air intake. Well he takes off and I go after him, we come to a sharp turn. I make it through no problem. He was right next to me and his back end starts to slide and he loses control and hits the curb, goes over it, and into a small parking lot. His wheels were turned, and I figured he might have just snapped his half shaft and suspension. We got out and everything seemed fine. He is one lucky SOB. I guess he just needs to learn his car better, but he is selling it.

I feel sorry for anyone buying that car. From the sounds of it, he's beaten the living hell out of the poor thing.

Yeah, but I would be willing to bet that there is some long term damage. It may have affected the frame or alignment. Who knows? Like Yogs said, I feel soory for whoever buys that car. He has always driven it like this.

Even a small stress fracture will prove the end of the transaxle in the future.

ummm The only honda I know that has a transaxle is the Vigor, and the old Legand it was derived from. There certianly isnt one in any Civic model

You can ask, but I wouldn't know. I do know that it was done properly, the camber is correct. He knows a lot about working on cars, it just seems that he doesn't know how to drive them.

And I think Nuetrino meant the half shaft.

Please disregard my earlier statement since no blood was reaching my brain at the time.
