1:24 Santa Claus Figure?
So I convinced my g/f to let me buy a specific model "for us" at Christmas (of course just an excuse to build another kit
), but I ended up having some fun with it, and made a '53 Corvette into "Santa's Hot Rod," with a red and green paint scheme, even some holly around the back of the seats, lots of fun.I hunted around but never thought to look online last Christmas, but I'd really love to find a 1:24 Santa to put in the driver's seat, or an elf if not. For that matter, even a bare figure that I can dress up as Santa would work. Anyone got any ideas for a fairly cheap solution to this? |

Re: 1:24 Santa Claus Figure?
Try searching G scale model railroad equipment. G scale is actually 1:22.5, but it's pretty close, and since this is a big scale it is also commonly used for Christmas displays, so you should have good luck searching that route.

Re: 1:24 Santa Claus Figure?
Thanks for the tip, all I seem to be able to find is plaster (or plastacine, or something) figures that aren't really possible. I gotta get the thing to fit in the car hehe...

Re: 1:24 Santa Claus Figure?
Hey,
Try ebay. I think there might be a resin company that makes a santa figure. Im pretty sure I've seen it in person too. Good luck with your project. Holiday themed models, especially christmas, are always neat. Unless you go overboard. Are you going to get little stringed lights to hang in and on the vette? lol...Good luck man. Frank X. |

Ya it's sort of a long ongoing project, do a little per christmas. Lights next perhaps. If I can dig it out of the boxes without much difficulty I'll add pics.

Re: 1:24 Santa Claus Figure?
Is you Santa figure going to be driving or posing? If he's driving, you could maybe modify one of the Tamiya or Fujimi driver figures and have a beard made out of putty etc. It'd take a bit of work but if you can't find a santa already made you may just have to give it a try!
