Unhappy A very sad story

Ok it was about like 2 weeks ago in Chicago. Chinatown is very hot now and cops are always givin out tickets to them racers out there. I just found out why those cops are bein so pissed off. People go down there and race near in the industrial area. From what i heard was that this one guy in the eclipse been challenge to race this other guy ..don't know what car the other guy has. So they were getting ready. The guy told the eclipse guy that he's not gonna race if his gurl and his kid was in the car. So them 2 got out. So what i heard was that the race started..all of the sudden the semi truck came out of the building and the eclipse just smashed into the semi and his car flipped over a couple of times. The eclipse guy is alive and he lost his legs though Man luckily the other guy told him to get his gurl and his out of the car. If it wasn't for him them 2 could've been injured or even worse. Again thats what i've been told. So everytime when i go to chinatown. I see cops pullin ppl left and rite. I just go there to eat with my gurl. I'm done and i've been done with street racing for good. I'm takin my bitch to the track where its safer and legal.

Im glad your are choosing to race legitamately its better so you can know your times too But if the guy hadnt taken the time to get his girl and kid out of the car, they would have left like 2 min earlier and no semi would be there in the first place.

Haha... You're just like me... You always look for a reason for things to have been different.
It would've been even earlier if he didn't have his kid and his wife with him in the first place at a dammed race spot... What a clutz. Feel bad for him though.

I quit street racing. Now I'm gonna buy a Type R/GSR and go for autocrossing.

They race there because there are no cops there... obviously... Its an industrial park with trucks, what like the trucks are going to break the speed limit?

Cops will die down soon -- happens all the time dude, doesnt have a DAMN thing to do with street racing though. Just last summer here on Erie Blvd some jackass was turning around -- some car, dont remember which ... and pulls right out in front of a motorcycle -- the bike hit the side of the car and let me tell you it wasnt pretty...

But werent racing -- accidents happen everywhere, all the time... ones ability to judge a situation and know what to do before it happens determines if you walk away with a wrecked car or dont walk away at all I guess. Most of you are only speaking from other peoples knowledge -- what OTHER people tell you, and have never dealt with it first hand... how many of you have actually ever been in an accident before? That is why they call them accidents -- because no one plans to go plowign through a semi -- but sometimes shit happens, and if you arent responsible enough to say "Well gee I got a wife and kid, maybe I shouldnt be street racing anymore because if something happens to me whats going to happen to them" well I dont know what to tell yah.

I dont want that to come out sounding like I dont feel sorry for the guy, but every person makes his own bed -- and now he has to sleep in his. If he was just minding his own business and a semi hit him -- thats a totally differant story.

Well actually cops do come around there once in awhile. I went there a couple of times and 2 cops came there with there lights on. Its not gonna die out ..trust me its Chicago man. When i was there about a month ago...the semi truck couldn't get through the street cause there was alot of ppl there. So we saw the driver using his CV radio or whatever to call the cops ..we assumed. So we all bailed. It does have to do with street racing..if they never raced then he would have kept his legs. Its because of street racing...accidents happen and ppl get hurt. Yes accidents happens everywhere even though it has nothing to do with street racing. When street racing its more of a risk.
