I have seen some resin kits of an E30 M3... they looked far more accurate than that ... thing by Fujimi. The Fujimi one is very unaccurate.

Don't know who made them, though... :/

I am also looking for a E30 M3 in plastic kit form.
Please someone help us.
I think Tamiya should go and talk with BMW to make some nice kits.

Re: E30 M3

The fujimi one is awful, hopelessly out of proportion and ill-shaped. There are some resin ones but your looking at $100 for a 1/24 e30 M3.

those resin kits look fantastic, but i just can't afford them which is a shame because i have a fabulous bmw engine that would look sooo sweet nestling in the engine bay.

I have one of the Fujimi versions. It is opened but not started. If anyone is interested just email me at [email protected] and we can work out a trade or something. I am a big Porsche fanatic. Just email me with some ideas.

I'm not an expert, but what are the inaccuracies that you mention? Aside from the generic chassis, it looks good to me.

I agreee with the general too boxy sentiments apparent from this older thread.

Here's another M3 kit Fujimi did. I bought this I think in the very late 80's - check the price of £6.99! This remains on my "to do" pile but will need some serious enhanmcement to look any good!

Re: E30 M3

Sory to resurrect an old thread, but I found some images of built 1/24 Fujimi e30 M3 models that clearly show the awkward body shape being spoken about. These look like beautifully built models though.

Personally I would rather Tamiya made these than Fujimi re-release theirs.

The one thing that REALLY lets down the looks are the wheels. I plan to use a spare set of Sierra RS500 rims and tyres, they look much more Group A and less BBS street.

I don't think they are being re-released.

The body is way too flat and wide. Here is a good side by side:

The whole shape is just... wrong. I agree though that with decent wheels that filled the arches properly it would be a lot better..
