U know digi??

hi all... humm im in the market for a digi cam. But dont know what or which to get. I'v also done alot of reading about em, and get alot of mix reviews.
For those who do know sumthing about digicams... im looking for something bigger than 2megapixel, close to 3-4 if the price is right. I saw a comparison pix of 1-2 megapix; 3-4 megapix; & 5+ megapix... and i have to say 5 megapix is hella nice but who wants to pay 800-1k+ for a camera.
I like the Nikon Coolpix series but dont know if its worth the never droping price. 500 bux for only 2.2 megapix with 3x optical zoom. is kinda price for me. and also what do u guys know about the olimpus brand digi's, kodak... like all of em in general.

just wonering if anyone gots any sugestions... then i can take a pix of my booty, and show ya all in high quality too!!!! :flash:

Arrow I have a Toshiba PDR-M3 Digi Cam

I think the quality is amazing-most of the photos on my homepage were taken with the Toshiba-I would highly recommend it!

Talking specs

1280x1024 pixels with 1.5 million square pixels CCD. 3X optical zoom lense includes LCD 1.8 inch color monitor to replay your pics (like a mini tv) also includes smart media (4mb) video cable, rechargeable battery, ac adapter and serial cable (win or mac) and the CD-ROM all for about $350.00 but I bet you can find one cheaper!

Olympus Camedia c-700

It's what all my pics on this site have been taken with. Now, don't get all antsy yet, because most all of the pics were also taken on the lowest (standard) feature to save space for more pics.

At any rate: it comes with an 8mb SmartMedia card, 3x optical zoom, 27x digital zoom, 1.5" LCD screen, a built-in (pops out) flash, all sorts of pic-taking goodies. Then with it's very own software (also comes with USB cable) you can use Sepia, b&w, and other alterations. It's retailing now at about $500 US, I believe. It was retailing at $600 right around Christmas, but now that it's been on the market for several months the price has dropped. I'm not the brightest one, and I find the basic "point-and-shoot" setting to be just fine by me!!!

It depends on what you want the camera for. Are you wanting to get into serious photography or do you just wanna take fun shots to post on the internet? For "just for fun" shots you probably don't need any more than a 1.3 - 2.3 megapixel camera. Right now I have a 1.3, but would love to get the Olympus Camedia like Tangie mentioned above. The particular one I want is about $700 so I gotta save the pennies for a bit on that one. I already have two 32mb and one 8mb SmartMedia cards for the 1.3 camera (Fujifilm). It's decent for what I use it for..for now, but I wanna get something for taking really good indoor pics and pics of my fishtank.

Thankx ladies hummm.. the Olympus Camedia c-700 sounds good. Well im planing on takeing fun shots of everything, but i also do media design with a friend and would like the camera to help in our buisness thats why im looking for a camera with higher pix. only problem is i dont want to spend all my money on a camera that dosent have very good fetures another camera might have.
It sux a good camera with high megapixels and good resolution might have shitty features. Just looking for the best "bang 4 the Buck" i guess.
But once again thankx for the 411 ladies... a friend of mine also recamended the Olympus Camedia awhile ago.

check out the olympus camedia c-2100. it takes amazing pictures. it hasa 10x optical zoom i believe and many more features. I think it's 2.3? mp. but the image quality is the key. very true colors with no washout.

The Sony CyberShiot series.

or Nixon CoolPix.

I have an Olympus, but it's only 1.3 megapixel and it has given me a ton of problems.
