Would swapping my non digi climate control for a digi work?

I have what I believe is the bare model of a 98 intrigue. I am curious as to whether or not swapping my non digital control out for a digital one would net me all the neat features. Or does my car lack the necesary devices to make it all work?

Sorry , but it won't work. The entire HVAC unit is different. Your car doesn't have the necessary doors and modules under the dash to make it work.

Re: Would swapping my non digi climate control for a digi work?

I know this is an old post, but would it even be practical to do this? If the HVAC unit is different, I assume the wiring harnesses would be different too? The reason I ask is that I have considered this too, and have better than average mechanical skills, but if it takes an entire re-wire of the underdash and replacing the HVAC unit, it might be not cost-effective or practical.

Thanks,

Tom

Nope. I believe Richtazz said it best. Sorry since this is an old thread it gets closed.

POSTING IN CLOSED OR OUTDATED THREADS:
If a thread has been closed, there is probably a logical reason for it. If you feel that the reason(s) for closure of the original thread are unjustified or wish further clarification feel free to contact any member of the moderating team. However, do not start a new thread about another closed thread.

Please avoid posting or voting in outdated threads. It merely clutters up the message board and makes it more difficult for fellow members to sort through the vast amount of information contained on the boards. If you have new and important information to add regarding a past discussion, feel free to start a new thread and if need be, add a link to the original thread.
