foglight bulbs...

I just changed my foglight bulbs with Eurolite Xenon bulbs. Has anyone heard of them? Are they supposed to be good? Hope they are. Anyways, it was a PAIN IN THE BUTT to put these things in. The square notch was too small to fit. So I tried to cut the square cut-out bigger with wire cutters, it was annoying! I accidently touched the bulbs for a split second while trying to cut a bigger notch, is that okay? Will it greatly reduce the life of the bulb? I know if you touch the bulb, it will reduce the life, but even if it's for a little bit? Also, since I wasn't able to perfectly fit the bulb into the socket, it went in kind of sideways, and is not sitting completely flush with the casing (it's crooked (spelling?)), is that okay?

I put in 55 watt bulbs because I don't think anyone makes 35 watt H3s, and asked the guys that worked there if 55s were okay for a 35 harness. They said that bulbs like PIAA that are 55 watt but work like 85 watt may melt the harness but bulbs that are 55 watt, and operate like 55 watt will be okay. Is that true? Thanks!

The bulbs I put in are very blueish white. I have PIAA Platinums for my headlights and now compared to the foglights, they look like the stock yellow bulbs!!! AAHH!! Looks like I might have to change my headlight bulbs...

Sorry about the long post...

hummmm... I don't know about the oil from your fingers, but PIAA says 55w, they usually are a little more than 55w. My buddy used 55w PIAA's on his honda and the fuse burned out. the circuit was made for 55w bulbs.
