Some of the older Fujimi wheel sets came with them, but I'm not sure which. Phil would know...
![]() Also keep in mind that for each kit Pman and Guiddy have done, they probably have another they've canabalized for parts.... I don't know how many of Warren's cars have those same 15-spoke wheels...

The big brakes on my R34 came from the Tamiya Volvo 850BTCC, and I have many other kits in the spares box which can supply similar parts.
It's the price you have to pay for customising kits. |

Same as Dan....most are spares apart from the VW.
The rims are OZ RACING and the brakes came in the kit.

Check Fujimi Wheel/Tire set in HLJ. Those sets priced at 700 yen usually come with large drilled disks, molded with the caliper. Read their product descriptions to make it sure.

sorry for the late reply.
ya, I get a lot of my brakes from swapping from kits to kits.. Fujimi's line of Just tunning usually comes with large Brembo brakes, each kit comes with 4... but rarely do they use such big brakes at the back of cars, so what I usually do is use the kit's front brakes for the back, then use the brembo's up front... so each kit has enough brakes for 2 cars ![]() Studio27 (can be bought in HLJ) has a very nice of metal rotatable calipers/rotors set... but it ONLY costs more then most model kits out there *rolleyes* I also buy Tamiya rally/touring cars which I find in hobby shops for DEAD cheap because of missing/damaged parts, and use those as parts kits. I got a Ford Essort WRC by Tamiya for like $5US :smoker2:

Forget that plastic junk!! The only option when you want triple-throw-down brakes on your model are photo-etched units from The Model Car Garage or Machined Aluminum Specialties!! The MAS kit even comes with blank rotors so you can drill them, install lug nuts and bolt your wheels on!!!

Then what about the calipers, too? All separate, I guess?

As for calipers, Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland sells a terrific line of resin Brembo calipers that are $3.99 per pair or build your own out of layers of sheet styrene (very easy)!! No, these options aren't the cheapest but they are the ultimate for accurate detail. You can truly trick-out a curbside model with photo-etch for less than $25.00. The real money comes when you trick-out an engine like in my ZL1 Camaro (see AF gallery). The engine alone cost about $75.00 in photo-etch and plating, not to mention the pulleys, distributor base and other parts I machined myself along with my labor. The carburator alone has 16 photo-etch pieces and 2 weeks of time in it. The question you need to ask yourself is, "How detailed do I want this car to be and what am I willing to do to get it there??" ![]() ![]() |
