Exclamation headers are rattling? help me out?

ok guys, here's the problem. have hotshot headers and greddy evo.....sounds pretty good. pretty loud when you floor it, i've got to say. though it still feels like i lost some low end torque, i can really feel the difference in the higher rpm range...ok enough..

so my problem is a rattling sound.....or a high pitched buzz that comes from the headers. does anyone know have this problem or can someone help me out? will it go away in time??? might be something loose? it sounds like it's coming from the soft mesh part of the headers......a leak? hehehe. well, let me know if there's an answer. thanx!

oh ok....one of my friends once raced me side by side and he said that it sounded like I had a can of bees under my car at high rpms...I can't hear it really cuz I'm in the car...but my friend was beside my car in his car....anyways...he's read in his maxima boards that the flex-pipe(the mesh thingy you mentioned)makes a weird buzzing sounds as hot gases pass through it....do don't worry..I think its normal...try calling hotshot and see what they say...

damn. that's natural? it sucks! hehehe. well, i guess it's not that bad, but i never heard it from a header that i've installed on many other cars. hotshot fails to impress me with their product. =) and to call them and ask them.....i'd have to wait a million years to get back to me. =) u know their customer service....

but you said it was under high rpms....mine starts up at about 2000rpms. maybe cuz i have the greddy exhaust...but i dunno...kinda embarrassing just cruising, and having a high buzzing sound that's coming from your engine bay. =)

but yes, thanx for the reply, definitely will give hotshot a call to see what's up.

did your friend get it fixed? if so, what did he do. i'm still trying to figure it out, if there is anything. havent resulted to call hotshot yet, but soon i guess. and if i get an answer from them, i'll post it up. maybe even put it up in the problem/fix forum. if not, maybe the FAQ section. but yeah, still looking for a little help.

Goods:No extra piping would mean no restrictions/backpressure which would mean MUCH more power from the engine.
Bads:No muffler would mean having to wear the biggest earplugs you can find and you'd get the feeling like you're sitting on top of a jet engine when you're cruising. Ever hear those monster 4x4's? Better yet ever been to a drag strip or race track? Imagine driving around town and on the highway like that all day. You'll get headaches and nausea from the exhaust fumes going into your AC/Ventilation system. Not to mention all the noise pollution tickets from the law AND the unwelcome looks you'll get from the neighbors since they'll hear you coming four or five blocks away.
So to answer your question, sure it can be done. For an extremely high price, if you know what I mean.
