My '93 Civic H/B + B18C motor bogg @ high RPM, Please help!

Here's the problem, during hard accelleration or peeling off, my car bogg. And each time I eased-off the gas pedal it's back to normal.

Here's what I have.
'93 Civic Dx Hatch-Back running a..
'96 GSR motor but equipped with a '94 ECU and engine wire harness to match. (trying to get around OBDII problems)
Brand new '96 distributor.

Could it be my fuel line? or fuel pump?
Does anyone else have this problem?
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to get it legallize..
Thanks in advance.

well did you rewire everything to accept the OBD1 ecu? it sounds to me like you are running rich, either that or you need to change your plugs and wires..

I had a guy that rewire the harness to match the OBD1 ECU.
I've gone through two dif. set of wire plugs, it's the same result.
If I'm not mistaking, wouldn't you smell gasoline if the car is running rich?. I feel that I'm running lean..but I'm not certain. Anyone else know or has the same problems?

are you still running the dx fuel pump and if so did you run your car on a dyno yet? the tiny dx pump wont be able to supply the fuel you need on the top end. another thing, since its an obd2 motor are you sure you have only the primary oxygen sensor wired up? and not the secondary?

my advice, go do a baseline run on a dyno hooked up to a wideband o2 sensor and see what your a/f ratio is. then if thats ok get an obd scan tool and run it in real time mode and do some rolling starts and off throttle crap and see what happens to the a/f according to the o2 sensor.

i think your right about the lean thing, sounds like the pump cant handle hard throttle transition or top end flow period, like it just doesnt have the umph...

Hey thanks guys,

I was planning to swap my DX fuel pump for the Integra ones. But I wasn't sure if it'll fit right in. Would it fit right in, or there're other modifications that are needed?. I was also wondering if it could just be that my Fuel Injectors are clogging up. But the fuel pump advise sound real good though.

As far as the O2 sensor hook up goes, I'm not certain on that. I didn't do the wiring. And As of now, I'm only using one wire (not sure if it's primary or secondary) due to the convertion of OBDII to OBDI.
Should it matter since I'm running a OBDI ECU?

Thanks for the input, I'm going to use the process of elimination. It may cost me a grip but I'm willing to try to go the distance just o have my ride legallize.

Thanks.
