The 'new' volvo FH12 truck?

I know tamiya has a volvo truck but that's the old model. I saw this http://www.modelltruck.net/showthread.php?t=6054 but I don't understand dutch. Where can I buy a kit like this, anyone know? I'm gonna build a copy of my truck.

thank you.

Hey,

I think I read somewere, either Italeri or Revell Ag(that's revell germany) is coming out with the coe version. I know for a fact, Italeri is making the VN80 version, b/c it's on it's way to my house:-D

Tamiya make 1/14 scale RC trucks but I agree with flyonthewall, that one looks scratchbuilt.

Re: The 'new' volvo FH12 truck?

Hey,

It's nto the FH12 truck, but I found the FH16 truck. I am not familiar with the differenves with these trucks. It was Italeri who is making the FH16.

Hope this helps:-D

woh! thanks exactly want I want. I think the number has to do with the engine only. I think I have seen that model before but because the pictures were so small I mistook it for the old model.

As i am able to read German (or at least i think so ), i have to agree. Itīs a 1:12 model built from scratch.
And yes, the numbers like 12 an 16 refer to the engine size in litres only.

I agree. Nobody makes Truck models in 1:12 scale, but as blubaja and kabouter say - Italery was making this model in 1:24 for some time. Hurry if you want to buy it, as I guess it is out of production jet. Old models of Volvo came back into Italeri's 2009 catalog:

Re: The 'new' volvo FH12 truck?

The Volvo FH12 & FH16 are basically the same truck except the engine as other guys have stated in this thread plus the difference is the luxury of the truck.the best kits are from Itareri(but thats my opinion). Depends also what version or unit you want to build, the first picture is from the late 80's and the second picture is from the 90's when they done a facelift of the truck(notice the grill & lights)

the link is here for Italeri
http://www.italeri.com/selezione.aspx?item=16
and if you want to have the small cab roof & not the super cab heres a couple of good places to buy after market parts that only deal with truck kits. you can get alsorts of goodies there such as Alloys,Flat roof conversions, daycab conversions, chrome exhausts, decals etc.
http://www.mgmouldings.co.uk/
http://www.kitformservices.com/
and I hope to see your build on here because I'm also big on truck models & building!
