water in engine = bad

today is good...
late to class.. rain is coming down in sheets.. my CIA (w/o bypass valve) sucks up some h2o locking killing my engine.. stupid me.. i just get out in the wet and cold, push my car into a parking lot.. and start her back up (after a few failed efforts). the car starts and drives, but not normal.. i wasn't sure how bad the engine was messed up so i did some test.. when vtec hits in 1st i rev at an almost turbo like speed. in second if i hit vtec my car stops revving period.. i can't go any higher and i have to shift. I've been told the reason for the fast reving in first is my compression ratio is up since there is water in the engine..

my delima:
I'm going to drop a b16a into my car within 2 months. I have full coverage insurance which means i just have to pay a deductable for the fix. I will get the cash for the engine and the labor. I have a friend does nothing but play with honda engines all day, so he can swap it easy. My choices are to go ahead and finish off the hydro lock job and replace the engine.. then (hopefully) try to salvage what is left of my current engine. The other choice is to take it in and see if they will pay to have it fixed. I don't want to pay the deducatble to have my engine fixed if they are just going to drain it..
so what do you guys think? finish the job or try to save it until the swap?

Claim it, pocket the money, borrow someone else's car for the next two months and then swap. Very simple.

No, I'm saying don't bother doing anything else to your messed up engine. Pocket the money that they give you to fix it and use it to get the new engine. For transportation just borrow someone's or ask your rents or something.
