Re: Water is bad for your block
LS vtech is a nice engine but since u blew it i recomend to rebuild another one. its gonna be pretty hard but you can do it.when i got my gsr i blew the engine the same way so i went to a JDM type R(b18C) and my friend just built a LS vtech turbo in a 2weeks. so good luck

Re: Water is bad for your block
Well since he said he threw a rod through the block, then yes that engine is done.
I say just do a GS-R swap since you have to buy a new block anyways. Might as well since you don't have a block to work with anyways. |

Well..
well a new engine is a good idea but since this couldnt have happened at a worse time. im stuck with alittle more cost effective solution. ripping the head off today to check the valves and make sure it will run fine going to go ls vtec since i can get a block with pistons rods and crank for 200-400$ im curious though i know people who have done this but what are the benefits i understand its better to turbo this motor will i have less power then a gsr? and what modifications am i looking at or if anyone knows a site i can find a list of modz please let me know
