I want to paint the front grille black to make it look better with the ARB.
What type of paint do you guys recommend? I don;t care about the finish to much. I was going to use rhino liner or something like that. I think that Goth used some type but I cannot remember the name. Thanks |

I thought that it was something else (could be wrong).
I think that Mustard Custard Durabek'ed his whole truck yellow on XOC. |

Pretty sure Goth used Herculiner (from K-Mart, of all places).

Yeah, Herculiner.
And yup, I found it at K-Mart (actually the only reason I went into the K-Mart, and I lucked out...)
So far it's holding up pretty darn well, I herc'd my sliders, too, and I did manage to scrape some of the stuff off on the bottom once out on the trail, (on rocks and the like), but all in all it seems pretty durable. Really easy to touch-up, too. If you were just putting it on the grill I don't think you'd have to touch it up at all, it's pretty resilient stuff. I found thinning it out w/ paint thinner just a touch made it go on the plastic trim a little better, and with fewer of the rubber texture particles...looks a little smoother that way (although I like the more textured look on the actual body work & sliders.) |

Cool thanks...
I also will be wearing gloves ![]() I'm really starting to hate the grey plastic on the X I find that it does not look right with the ARB. I'm also working on fixing my hood to make the X look a little different (I'm not saying it's a good idea, but I want to separate myself from all the other yellow X's) |

![]() I am painting the hood black and adding one other touch from the D-90/ D-110. In the end I think that I will have the look that I want. Only time will tell. |

Nope, haven't been talking to CD about your truck, just been talking with FSR and a couple other guys who are thinking about the same kind of thing ... of course, you guys could have just bought a black truck and been done with it.
