Modeling equipment list (the everything list)

Hey,
I saw the equipment list in the FAQ and it has a big lack of tools, so I thought maybe we can make a new and clear list to make an easier time for the beginners and everyone that might need this information.

Please post only things that haven't been posted yet, and do not be too specific about things, do not say for example: 800 grit paper. Say in this way for example: Putty, primer and so on.
Please add what kind of things every tool can be used for, and a picture if possible.

This list is just hobby shop inventory. A real, good list would have why you need each item, and what kind of each. Ie. what kind of primer depends on what paint you're going to paint over it, or the type of putty depends on what you're using it for. This half information thread is just going to cause more frustration than good, in my opinion.

I use poster putty and skewer sticks more then any think. poster putty is great for test fitting and a billion other things like sticking parts to skewer sticks for painting. And of course sprue cutters, next most important. and q-tips are a daily tool as well. but for this thread to be of use to anyone you need to either explain what each is used for or do a beginner/ intermediate/ advanced type list. cus over the years ive spent hundreds of dollars on tools and some i use once a year. so to a newbie this list could be overwelming and they might decide they cant afford to model. so this is not a very good way of doing it.

I have a nice set of jeweler's pliers and I love them. I also have an xacto saw that I couldn't live without. And beading wire-all guages, colors etc.

And how could I leave this site off my list of crucial modeling tools?

willimo, I agree with you, but you have to start small at first.
My futer plans for this list are to get a small description about each tool, and a picture of it.
