Talking progress: Nissan Skyline GTS25T (a replica of my own!)

so we begin the second skyline model of my refound hobby!

i'm going to try and recreate my own car... the Nissan Skyline GTS25T.

i've learnt a few things from the last model i built... use styrene for the kit!!!

so this is what i want to achieve...

here's the progress so far...

just out of the box..

kit coming on.

not so much putty work there

stock wheels (f) v's new wheels (r)

rolling chassis.

i used hiroboy's "how to" for converting the female wheels to fit on the tamyia chassis, and i worked out how to do the fronts!! (i'll put up a "how i did it" soon). i used some alu tube for the exhaust tips.

and i finished the interior...

i had to attack a spare steering wheel with a lighter!! pretty happy with the result!!

does anyone have any idea how i'm going to make the A pillar pod mounts? i was thinking of just sticking some small styrene tube straight to the a pillar on the body shell?!?!?! would this work, or look awful?

cheers
boab

I think that It'll work out nice to put the styrene tubes on the A-pillar. Don't do it before the windsheild and the side windows are there though or you might get some problems to get them to fit afterwards. Nice car, for sale? Something new instead? Keep us posted on the project.
