Neon + Porsche = ?

Hi everybody!

Was a bit insecure on where to post this thread, but here it goes and if I posted it in the wrong section I apologize.
A general question to anyone who´d like to answer, how do you feel about putting neon (blue) under a Porsche? I personally like styled Porsche´s, hopefully some of you have seen my progress-thread (911 Thread ), but anyway I´m styling my 911. I will try to keep it pretty discreet and now I´ve got the stuff to build a working neon-system (even with pulsing light) on the car and I also plan to do gullwing-doors. Lately there´s been some questions on how to make lambo/gullwing-doors, soon I´ll have a how-to on this, would that be of any interest?

A teaser:

I want to put some 19" rims on it but all the nice ones (AVS Model 5, Enkei Racing RP03, Volk TE37 etc.) are 18" any suggestions on where to find 19" RACING rims?
Follow this link to see the almost done interior and a far from done body:

Follow The White Rabbit

Here comes some of the pics that inspired me to the build:

ANY, and I mean ANY feedback, critisism or suggestions are welcome, thanks,

Regards, Fredrik

A beast you said? The Porsche in the third pic is called "Quick Silver", it has over 700 hp and runs on 100 octane fuel...that´s a f-cking beast. Thanks for your comments, but I really need to know what you think about neon, yes or no. Remember that it will be more of a "Show-Porsche" than a racing-Porsche. Unfortunally I can´t show you how it would look because I have to install it and solder the wires and so on. In this project I will do a combo of some of all the body kits I´ve seen plus some of my own ideas (the roof scoop for example), as you could see in the link I´ve already made the trunk scoop and I´m very pleased with it.
I´ve had some crazy ideas to make an engine (a turbo one offcourse), but that would take forever to do all the fans and shit on the inside of the hood. Also making a turbo engine (`cus the intercoolers takes up so much space in the engine bay ) would mean that I´d have to cut up intakes on the sides (but how badass would´nt that be?).

Regards, Fredrik

Re: Neon + Porsche = ?

I thought merely mentioning neon and Porsche in the same sentence was taboo.
LOL!

Re: Neon + Porsche = ?

That Hamann one is realy nice looking, I don't like neon lights on car, kind of space craft stuff if you ask me, but then again I never saw it on a model.

Thanks guys, I guess I´ll be saving the neon for a more riced project (probably a S2000 or the new Celica). It´s almost certain that I´ll put on some 19" Kranze Borphes rims, they will be stripped, probably modified and painted Alclad II Aluminium. Stay tuned for updates!
