Arrow 1/4 mile times of (e36) M3's

I 'm looking to possibly buy a used 95 M3. I already know what a great car they are and I realize that they are not "drag specific cars", but I'm still curious about what times they can run. Thanks.

Facts!

ww.supercars.net
bimmer magazine
road and track

E36 M3(Evo-ROW)faster after 80mph compared to US version 6 individual throttles compared to single US 6 speed transmission.
0-60 5.6 top 160 Minus Governed factory chip.
E36 US 0-60 5.6 top 156 minus Governed factory chip.
1/4 mile 13.7 tested in road and track and euro magazines(Car, Evo).

http://www.supercars.net/cars/1996@$BMW@$M3g.html

Factors that influence acceleration and time produced.
1. Choice of tires.
2. Driver will and skill.
3. Weather.
4. Radar calibration on which car is tested on.
5. At times unfortunatly campaign contribution.
6. Private test times versus factory times often differ(ie.. Porsche always understates their 0-60 times they are faster when tested.)
7. Drivers body mass. I mean it.lol

Re: 1/4 mile times of (e36) M3's

Many M3 that have been to the drag strp vary. I think the ones in the east coast are hitting better time that us here in the west. Because of the elevation. Which varies form place to place. Again dealer specs vary as oppose to the individual driver of the car. Most others can do better than what they have been tested to do!
