body filler (bondo)
i been doing the body work on everything. kinda falling behind b/c of the weather up here in NY. i was wondering if the cold will have an effect on the body filler. its been around 40-55F degrees. seems like today it took longer to dry and harden up. lets just say it take twice as long to dry and set up, will it still hold? or should that be done on warmer day such as 55 and up?(like paint)

Re: body filler (bondo)
i dont know shit about bondo but it sounds like if it sees extreme heat upper 90's(dont think u need to worry about that in ny) it might have a problem. thats my opinion and contains no fact

70-80* is usually the prime temperature for spreading bondo, but you can still use it in 40-50* weather. it will take longer to set-up, but it will still hold just fine. i wouldn't use it when the weather drops below 40* though

I wouldn't use it much under 50F also it's the surface temp of the car that is more important than the ambient temperature. Remember all the money you investet in pany plus all the time you invested will can be ruined if 3 weeks after you paint it that Bondo work you did it cold weather cracks or lifts etcc..,

also make sure you remove all oils from the metal from your fingerprints before you spread bondo. otherwise the first hot and humid day will cause it to peal
