'56 chevy

I just got it loaded on the trailor ready to take it to the scrapper . I just isn`t worth trying to restore . I did have a good time in it as a young teen but its just too far gone now.

primera man, never let me borrow you`r car .

ONEBADMK8, I cut off the fender with a dremmel and made a new/old one out of aluminum foil , I still need to work on the headlight part of it . I made all the rust holes with the dremel too, they turned out realy well but I ran out of rust paint so they don`t show up very well in the pictures .

I have had this model since I was 5 years old but it realy was too fare gone to try to restore . I didn`t wanna take it off the shelf though so I made it look like a old junk yard car so I can be just as proud of it now as I was when I was 5 .

Re: '56 chevy

You dont need rust paint use real rust.

Checkout my real rust.

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=137132

Plus it keeps on rusting since its real metal it keeps rusting and getting worse!

Re: '56 chevy

Nice job, but I have mixed emotions. For some reason, something about those pictures makes me wanna cry.

Re: '56 chevy

Very nice weathering job.
Replicating the parts out of foil is a cool idea for wrecked builds.

No need to.
Just rot out some steel wool pads for a few days in a 1/2 glass of water, let it ALL FULLY dryout and presto REAL RUST powder. Then mix VERY thinned out amounts of flat paints (Colors you desire) and you have genuine rust.
