I got a question if anybody has done this swap. My brother wants to put a JDM motor in his EK, but he's undecided on which one to put in a B18C or a H22A? Which one will be easier to do a swap without any complications and what type of complications he might run into to do the swap? Thanks, Kevin :smoker2: |

just in reading these boards, its pretty clear the h22 isnt a do-it-yourself swap really... its do-able, but costly, and takes a lot of work (new mounts, suspension, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.) and it creates some wicked understeer..then again ive heard this can be corrected with the suspension.....
all in all, b18 will be easier, safer, and a "best-bet" imo....

either swap is doable.....the H22 requires a mounting kit, other than that, it's as easy as installing any other motor. The b18c1 is hands down the best bang for any civic hybrid.

I would get the GSR motor. It's way better than spending time and money trying to cram in a H22.
