h22a vtec, b16a, or b18c for 94 hatch.
i was just wondering what swap you would do for the following prices.
H22A Vtec. It fits any stock 2.2 or 2.3 trans. It comes with intake manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, distributor, crank angle sensor, & ECU for $1995. B18C 1.8 DOHC V-tec. If you've got the have the biggest & the best, this is it! We recently received one unit complete with wiring harness, axles, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, distributor, crank angle sensor, and a 5 speed trans with hydraulic type clutch. Bragging rights will cost you $3200.00 for this package. B16A 1.6 DOHC V-tec's. Definitely the best value in a conversion for the '92 up Civic It comes in the 170hp Civic SiR in Japan. It comes with intake manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, distributor, crank angle sensor, and a 5 speed trans with hydraulic type clutch for $2395.00. Remember that if you are outside CA, there is no sales tax :-) Shipping inside the continental US is anywhere from $49 - $200. That is what they emailed me as for prices on the engines I was looking at. |

Where the hell did you get quoted? None of those are complete and there are many companies that sell those complete for the same price.

If you got the extra money, hands down H22. If possible, get it mated with the H23 tranny for slightly longer gears. The downside is buying the $450 motormounts.
