TRans- Auto or 5 speed

Question, I had a 99 prelude with a 5 speed, It was totaled. I now have a 99 with auto stick. I hate first gear in the auto stick. The RPMs just do not jump like my 5 speed. What can I do to fix this? Is there a gear kit I can get? Would it be worth putting a 5 speed trans in? What would be the best transmission to get? Is there anything other then the stock trans? Thanks

first thing I did was change intake to a iceman intake. that alone gave better transition into 2nd gear. no more bogging.

then i would recommend you get a VAFC and lean out -4% ..that thing is kickass. I get decent wheelspin (i have a RSR exhaust too) even with my performance tires. it's not a burnout, but a spin good enough to get the car moving...any more, the tires will be just spinning.

Future mods: dressup wheels with Potenza S03 225/45/17 tires, TurboXS UTec, maybe an uppipe. by then, it'll be fast enough.
