88 GTA Trans Am speed o meter loook..

okay I have this and it has a electric speedometer well, it doesnt show correct speeds, what do i need to do to it does it have to do with the tranny? help!

How bad is it? Just a couple MPH or a lot? Is it reading faster than you're really going or slower?
Were the gears in the differential ever changed? How about the size of the tires?

eather your speed sensor on the tranny or the drive gear ant right
