In Progress AMT/Ertl 1:16 Shelby Cobra 427
Now, when you hear 1:16, you usually think "hmmm, why do I think it's going to be a die-cast". Well, this is a 100% regular plastic model. So anyways, I am building this for a friend of mine, he wanted it in an all aluminum body, so thas what I did. I hae already glued the windows for both front and hood. Enjoy!

oohh... i can't wait for this to finish. i'm making this kit too... mine is guard red though...

very nice, smooth and clean painting...what paint did you use?? alclad 2??

hehe, it's funny that you say that because I was trying to get that paint, but actually used a different paint, I think its called rust-oleom aluminum finish paint.

Wow, that looks quite good!! Is that paint right out of the can? And is it as shiny in real life as it is in the pictures? It looks like chrome! Gorgeous! I like the idea of painting it in aluminum.

Yup, STRAIGHT out of the can, no clear coat, no NOTHING!!! This is a good aluminum paint. Will post progress in a while.
